1 .-Vessels must anchor at about 5/6 miles south of the south breakwater in order to avoid usual problems with the prevailing strong wind. 2.-Pilot boards vessel at about 1,5 miles from breakwaters. 3.-Tugboats take vessel at about 0,5/1 miles from breakwater. 4.-It takes 1 hour and a half from the time Pilot boards till the vessel is berthed alongside the pier (fore to open sea). 5.-According to Port regulations sailings have priority to entrances and movements are last. 6.-As port is frequently closed, the entrance is required at any time of the day when berth available. 7.-Port Authorities grant a waiting pier, the cost being 30 % of usual.
